Is my contact form working?

We look for forms on the homepage and on /contact, especially ones with an email field or a message box, then request each form action. A 404 or a dead host means submissions are not landing.

This does not submit the form or invent a message. It only checks that the endpoint answers. It reads HTML, and /contact is a plain fetch with no browser, so a form that a script builds after the page loads will not show up. Pair it with a real test submission when you change plugins.
